Teaching Assistant – Surrey

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming specialist school in Surrey. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students with diverse needs and help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Differentiating work to meet the individual needs of pupils
  • Assisting the class teacher in assessing student levels and abilities
  • Upholding the school's ethos, values, and policies at all times
  • ️ Supporting students in completing work set by the class teacher

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience working in specialist schools or similar settings
  • Background in support work within schools or child-related environments
  • Strong behaviour management skills, with confidence in handling challenging behaviour
  • Comfortable working 1:1 and with small groups
  • A friendly, enthusiastic, yet firm approach
  • An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service or willing to apply for one
