Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant at a Special Needs School in Southwark (Peckham). The role runs 09:00-16:00, five days a week, with in-class support 1:1 or group. A Child and Adult DBS is required, and the school can help with obtaining one.

Prior care/support or SEND experience is advantageous, with a positive mindset essential. Personal care support may be needed for some students.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a Child and Adult DBS (or be willing to obtain one; support available)
• Previous care or support work experience would be ideal
• Previous SEND experience
• Positive mindset and adaptability

• Support students within the classroom, either 1:1 or as a general classroom assistant

• Open to supporting some personal care aspects for students with PMLD

We are working with a Special Needs School in Southwark who are looking to appoint a SEND Teaching Assistant.

the school is located in Peckham and has great public transport links as well as a large school car park.

The school is extremely supportive and will offer candidates a contract after working in the school for a period of time.

Students who attend this school are secondary age and also have a sixth form cohort- as a result anyone interested in working in the school will require a child and adult DBS. If you do not have one we can help support this.

What does a working day and requirements look like?

• 09:00-16:00 daily
