Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:45am - 3:15pm

Simply Education is seeking a dynamic and resilient Teaching Assistant to join us and work collaboratively in an Aylesbury-based SEN primary school. The successful candidate will support vulnerable students with a range of needs, fostering a positive learning environment and promoting academic success. This role requires adaptability, empathy, and a strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.

Key responsibilities:
  • Building Positive Relationships: Establishing trusting and positive relationships with students is essential. Creating a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel safe to express themselves and seek help.
  • Assisting with Classroom Activities: Supporting lesson delivery by assisting students during activities, providing one-on-one instruction, and adapting materials to meet individual needs.
  • Implementing Behaviour Management Strategies: Assisting in implementing behaviour support plans, using techniques like positive reinforcement, de-escalation, and conflict resolution.
  • Providing Emotional Support: Offering additional emotional support, encouragement, and reassurance to help students cope and build resilience.
  • Supporting Inclusion: Promoting participation of students with needs in classroom and school activities, collaborating with teachers to modify activities and assignments for accessibility.
