Job summary

Vision for Education Ltd is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a full-time, term-time only role in Romford (RM7), starting September 2026. You will work closely with pupils needing additional support, either 1:1 or in small groups, alongside the class and SEND teams to implement strategies and promote academic and personal development.

A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Romford is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time, term-time only basis from September 2026.

About the role

SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-Time

Location: Romford (RM7)

Start Date: September 2026

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils requiring additional support, either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. You will collaborate with class teachers and the SEND team to implement support strategies, encourage pupil engagement, and promote both academic and personal development.

The successful candidate will be patient, resilient, and committed to creating a positive and inclusive learning experience for every child.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with SEN

  • Working closely with teachers, SEND staff, and parents where required

Requirements

To be considered for the role of Special Needs Teaching Assistant - Romford you will:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN
  • Experience within a primary school setting (preferred)

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Commitment to supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
