Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is hiring an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEN school in Edgware. The role involves 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism and complex learning needs.

The ideal candidate will be nurturing, patient and resilient, with prior SEN experience. This is a full-time, long-term contract with ASAP start and PAYE pay of £95-£115 per day.

Qualifications

• SEN experience is required.
• Experience in SEN provision or related settings is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with Autism and complex learning needs
• Helping pupils develop communication and social skills

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is nurturing, patient, adaptable and resilient, with a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.

Experience within a special school, SEN provision, mainstream school, ARP or alternative provision would be highly desirable.

Experience with Autism, SLD, MLD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, challenging behaviour, PECS, Makaton or personal care would be advantageous.
