Job description

A special needs school in Hackney is seeking a compassionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to support pupils with Autism (Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). This is a full-time, "temp-to-perm" position within a highly regarded Local Authority establishment.

School Overview

The school is an Ofsted 'Outstanding' special school catering to pupils aged 2-11. It is located in a modern, purpose-built facility designed to meet complex learning needs.

Class Size: 7 primary-aged pupils.

Support: 3 full-time Teaching Assistants assigned to the classroom.

Professional Development: Access to excellent induction programs and ongoing CPD training.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement personalised learning plans to promote student independence and social skills.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.

Candidate Requirements
