Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking enthusiastic SEN Teachers to work across specialist SEN schools in Gloucester. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual needs, working closely with teaching assistants and other professionals to ensure every pupil receives guidance and encouragement to succeed.

Qualifications

The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you will take responsibility for planning and delivering engaging lessons adapted to the individual abilities, needs and learning goals of your pupils. You'll work closely with teaching assistants, support staff and other professionals to ensure every pupil receives the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed.

Depending on the setting, you may support pupils with:

• Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
• Autism, ADHD and associated communication difficulties.
• Social, emotional and behavioural challenges.
• Moderate to complex learning difficulties.
• Individual Education Plans (IEPs), EHCP targets and personalised learning programmes.

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching pupils with SEN, or a strong interest in developing within specialist education.
• The ability to adapt teaching methods to meet a range of learning needs.
