Job summary

Lime Academy Hartwell seeks an enthusiastic teaching assistant to support learners with complex physical, medical and learning needs within our schools. You will implement targeted activities to meet individual needs and promote inclusive, safe learning environments.

You will work under teachers, manage behaviours in line with policy, and collaborate with families and external agencies to ensure each learner makes progress and is valued.

Qualifications

• Work under the direction of the class teacher to support learners with complex physical, medical and learning needs.
• Implement activities and interventions designed to meet personal needs.
• Promote inclusion and safeguarding as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist the class teacher in managing the classroom and maintaining a purposeful environment.
• Support learners to access learning and participate in activities.
• Develop positive relationships with learners, families and agencies.
