Job summary

Lime Trust is seeking a proactive individual to support teaching and learning across its academies in the Luton area. You will work with classroom staff to deliver a personalised curriculum and foster a safe, inclusive environment that enables every learner to progress academically and personally.

Responsibilities include step-in leadership when the class teacher is absent, classroom organisation, safeguarding, and collaboration with families and external agencies to support learners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the class in the absence of the class teacher for short periods
• Provide general support to the class teacher in the management and organisation of the classroom
• Assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
• Provide expertise to deliver a personalised curriculum for each learner's learning
• Promote the inclusion of all learners, ensuring they have equal opportunities to learn and develop
• Build and maintain successful relationships with learners, treating them with respect and consideration
• Work together with families and other agencies to ensure every learner is valued, challenged and supported
• Have the highest expectation that every learner will make sustained academic and personal progress
• Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school
