Job summary

Milk Education is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a Newcastle secondary school on a temporary or permanent basis starting in September. You will support pupils 1:1 and in small groups, assist with catch-up sessions, and collaborate with the class teacher on planning and adapting resources.

The role is suitable for new or experienced educators seeking a welcoming school culture that values wellbeing and community.

Qualifications

  • Recent experience in a school or education setting.
  • Solid numeracy and literacy skills.
  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in childcare, education or similar — or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Comfortable taking direction from the class teacher and working as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils one-to-one and in small groups, responding to their individual needs.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will bedeterminedby your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
