Job summary

An established industry player in education is seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to support students with various learning disabilities. Job description

Are you someone who is keen to support students with Special Educational Needs? Here at Axcis, we have a great opportunity to work within a school in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, as a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, supporting specific individuals with a range of Learning Disabilities, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH).

Opportunity Details:
  • To become a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant
  • To work and support students with a range of learning disabilities
  • £90 - £105 per day, depending on skills and experience
  • Term Time Only
  • Based in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire
  • Starting ASAP until the end of the academic year - Monday to Friday, 08:30 am - 3:30 pm
  • Full-time and Part-time positions available
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Working 1:1 or 2:1 with students, building successful relationships and treating them with respect and consideration.
  2. Attending to pupils' personal needs and following EHCPs, including assisting with personal care when required.
  3. Providing support inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation in activities.
  4. Ensuring that each pupil's care plans are followed at all times.
