Job summary

Nova Training in Willenhall is hiring an Apprentice Teaching Assistant to support teachers and learners in a dynamic educational setting. The role emphasizes working with students with special educational needs and contributing to engaging lessons and activities.

You will assist in lesson delivery, monitor progress, communicate with caregivers, and support with planning and assessment to improve learning outcomes. This apprenticeship offers valuable hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience as a Teaching Assistant in an education setting.
• Relevant Qualification/training in Special Education.
• Previous experience of working with learners who have an EHCP would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Vision, innovation and passion for teaching and learning.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in preparation and delivery of lessons/interventions.
• Provide daily reports on learners' progress and barriers to learning.
• Interact with parents/caregivers regularly.
• Assist in dealing with behavioural difficulties that may occur.
• Motivate, challenge and inspire students to achieve their best.
• Contribute to Nova Training's core vision and values.
• Work independently and as part of a strong, cohesive team.
• Demonstrate strong English and Maths knowledge.
