Job summary

Nova Training is seeking a Teaching Assistant in Dereham for a full-time apprenticeship. You will support the class teacher with lesson delivery and workshop sessions, manage resources, and contribute to learners' progress reports.

This role requires at least 1 year of TA experience, a Special Education qualification, and strong communication skills to engage with learners and parents. The role emphasises collaboration and safeguarding throughout the day.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Teaching Assistant in an education setting.
• Relevant qualification or training in Special Education.
• Experience with EHCP is beneficial.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Vision, innovation and passion for teaching.
• Ability to plan and assess and work creatively.

Responsibilities

• Support class teacher in the preparation and delivery of lessons/interventions.
• Lead workshop sessions and manage resources and ensure equipment safety.
• Provide daily reports on learners’ progress and barriers to learning.
• Interact with parents/caregivers on a regular basis.
• Assist in managing behavioural difficulties and motivate students.
• Contribute to the school's core vision and values and work in a team.
