Job summary

Horizons Academy in Mansfield is seeking compassionate Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with SEMH and ASC in a brand-new specialist setting. You will work closely with the Principal, Senior Leaders and Teachers to provide a safe, enriching and inclusive learning environment from day one.

The role requires safeguarding commitment, teamwork, and a childcare qualification (NVQ3/NNEB or equivalent). Prior SEN experience is desirable. Visit our site for more details.

Qualifications

• Display commitment to protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
• Working knowledge of SEMH and ASC with strong communication/interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents and professionals.
• Willingness to work within a specialist SEN environment.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people with complex needs in a specialist setting.
• Collaborate with the Principal, Senior Leaders and Teachers to ensure a positive educational experience.
• Contribute to creating a secure, nurturing environment to maximise daily attendance.
