Grunwald Limited, the UK arm of Grunwald GmbH, seeks a proactive sales professional to expand spare parts sales and lifecycle services across two connected businesses. You’ll engage OEMs and end users, follow quotations, and nurture opportunities from initial contact to order.
You’ll coordinate visits, develop new service proposals, and work with senior management to win strategic deals while building relationships across the UK market.
We’re looking for someone who likes selling, likes customers and likes making things happen.
This is a brand-new role working across two closely connected businesses: Grunwald Limited and CausebrookSmith.
Grunwald Limited is the UK operation of German packaging machinery manufacturer Grunwald GmbH, supplying and supporting filling and sealing equipment across the UK food manufacturing industry.
CausebrookSmith is a growing lifecycle support business, built to support both machinery manufacturers and end users with service engineering, spares, asset care and wider aftermarket support.
The role will report directly to the Managing Director and Operations & Projects Director and provides an opportunity to work across both established machinery support and a rapidly developing lifecycle business.
The role has two complementary areas of sales responsibility.
You don’t have to come from packaging machinery.
B2B sales experience would be ideal, but we’re equally interested in people who have successfully sold higher-value or consultative products and services in areas such as property, automotive, insurance or similar.
What matters is that you can communicate, build relationships, understand what somebody needs and then keep an opportunity moving.
Knowledge of mechanical or electrical engineering, manufacturing, automation or packaging machinery would be advantageous, but it isn’t essential.
We can teach somebody about the machinery and the industry. We’re looking for the underlying commercial ability, curiosity and determination.
This isn’t a role where you’ll spend five days sitting behind a desk.
Typically, Monday and Friday will be office based, Tuesday and Thursday will be out visiting customers, with Wednesday flexible depending on meetings and priorities.
There will be regular UK travel, so you’ll need to enjoy getting out, meeting people and developing relationships face to face.
You’ll be joining at an exciting point for both businesses.
Grunwald Limited has an established UK customer base and a significant installed base of machinery to support. CausebrookSmith is a young and growing business developing a different approach to lifecycle support for machinery manufacturers and end users.
This role sits right between the two - combining an established customer base with the opportunity to develop completely new relationships and business.
You’ll also receive strong, hands‑on mentoring and development. The role works directly with James Causebrook and Samantha Smith, giving you the opportunity to learn from their combined experience across packaging machinery, engineering, aftermarket service, sales, business development and customer relationship management.
Both have spent their careers working directly with manufacturers, OEMs and some of the UK’s largest food producers, building relationships and developing machinery and lifecycle solutions. You won’t simply be given a target and left to get on with it - there will be genuine support in developing your commercial, technical and industry knowledge.
For someone with the right underlying sales ability and ambition, this is an opportunity to learn an industry, build a network and develop a career, while being given real responsibility from the outset.
You’ll have genuine exposure to customers and senior decision-makers, with the freedom to develop opportunities rather than simply process what lands in an inbox.
We’re looking for somebody who sees an outstanding quotation and wants to know what happens next.
If that’s how you approach sales, we’d like to hear from you.
