Job summary

Empowering Learning seeks a passionate Spanish Teacher for a Birmingham area secondary school. The role starts September 2026, is full-time, and initially long-term with potential to go permanent. The teacher will deliver Spanish across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 desirable but not essential.

The candidate should hold UK QTS, have experience teaching Spanish at KS3/KS4, and be capable of planning engaging, differentiated lessons while maintaining strong behaviour management and safeguarding practices.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Experience teaching Spanish at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• Safeguarding Level 1 trained (we can support with this if needed)
• Valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Teach Spanish across KS3 and KS4 and plan differentiated lessons
