Job summary

AAC Clyde Space seeks a Test Engineer to join our production team, supporting verification and delivery of spacecraft hardware. The role tests assemblies and systems, reports results, and ensures quality, safety and project timelines are met.

You will work hands-on with design engineers to test, debug and verify hardware against customer requirements, producing clear test reports and actionable recommendations. This is a full-time, on-site position in Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or equivalent work experience.
• Competence in electrical and electronic engineering principles.
• Knowledge of schematic diagrams and PCB layout for debugging.
• Ability to apply electrical expertise to power systems and DC-DC converters.
• Working knowledge of test equipment.
• Experience with test and evaluation plans.
• Ability to write effective test and evaluation plans.
• Understanding of Health and Safety and Quality Management Systems.
• Good analytical and documentation skills.
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support spacecraft assembly testing and deliver hardware to standards, budget, and timescales.
• Engage with Project Manager to align test schedules with project timelines.
• Produce and communicate progress and status to stakeholders.
• Support Design Engineers with testing and debugging of designs.
• Verify hardware meets customer requirements.
• Write test reports with recommended actions.
• Follow Quality Management System standards and customer-mandated processes.
