Alexander Associates Technical Recruitment is helping an engineering business in Glasgow recruit an Electronics Design & Test Engineer to join their hands-on team. You’ll work across the full lifecycle, from initial design and prototyping to testing, integration and final validation on space and defence hardware.

You’ll design analogue, digital and power electronics, produce schematics and PCB layouts, build and test prototypes, and support EMI/EMC and instrumentation campaigns across

Qualifikationen

• 5–10 years of electronics design experience, preferably in space, aerospace or defence.
• Strong analogue, digital and power electronics knowledge.
• Hands-on testing and debugging across full lifecycle of hardware.

Aufgaben

• Designing electronic hardware across analogue, digital and power electronics
• Producing schematics and PCB layouts
• Designing wiring harnesses and interconnects
• Building, testing and debugging prototypes
• Supporting PCB bring-up and troubleshooting
• Creating and running hardware verification and validation test plans
• Working with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analysers and other lab equipment
• Supporting instrumentation and data acquisition for major test campaigns
• Analysing test results and feeding findings back into design improvements
• Working closely with mechanical, software and systems engineers
• Supporting design reviews and producing technical documentation
