Job summary

Holt Executive Ltd. seeks a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of precision aerospace products in the UK. You will take designs from concept through manufacturing, working across development, test equipment, tooling and assemblies.

The role covers SRR, PDR, CDR and other design reviews, with emphasis on FEA/thermal/stress analysis and consideration of DFM/DFM during development. 6-12 month IR35 contract, with strong likelihood of extension.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
• Experience in space, aerospace or similarly complex engineering is essential.
• Strong Creo/CAD experience is required.
• Experience with structured design reviews and product development is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical designs and manufacturing drawings using Creo.
• Support SRR, PDR, CDR and other design reviews.
• Produce design reports, test plans and technical documentation.
• Work with manufacturing and process engineers to deliver practical solutions.
• Resolve complex design challenges and support FEA, thermal and stress analysis.
• Consider DFM, DFA, materials, cost and lead times throughout development.
