Job Description

Teledyne e2v in Chelmsford is the largest commercial employer in the City of Chelmsford, employing over 850 people in Essex. The site generates world-leading technology critical for humankind, including vital components for radiotherapy machines and imaging devices used in groundbreaking space missions.

Our Space Imaging business in Chelmsford provides high-performance CCD, Infrared, and CMOS sensors for space science, earth observation, astronomy, and high-energy physics applications.

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our successful manufacturing team, focusing on developing high-precision silicon assembly and providing support to manufacturing processes.

Summary
  • Develop new and enhance existing Probe capabilities for testing CCD / CMOS Wafers
  • Collaborate with Production Engineers to optimize DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
  • Assist with developing and documenting procedures for prototyping new products
  • Continuously improve manufacturing processes and work instructions in coordination with the production team
  • Create SAP ME routings from manufacturing flow diagrams
  • Generate SAP BOMs and master data in collaboration with design, engineering, and procurement teams
  • Ensure documentation is approved through Configuration Control Boards (CCBs)
  • Manage and optimize operational workflows (information and production flow)
  • Assist with production trials and ensure all documentation is completed
  • Work within existing NPI (New Product Introduction) processes
Qualifications
