Role Overview

The Spa Therapist is responsible for delivering exceptional treatments and experiences to all spa guests in line with our five-star standards. This role supports the smooth daily operation of the spa, contributes to retail and treatment revenue, and ensures every guest receives a warm, professional, and memorable wellness experience.

Key responsibilities of the Spa Therapist will include:

Guest Experience

• Deliver a wide range of spa treatments to a consistently high standard, following brand protocols (e.g., Ishga).
• Provide a personalised, luxury service to all guests, ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing throughout their visit.
• Maintain excellent product knowledge to confidently recommend retail items and aftercare.
• Respond to guest enquiries professionally, ensuring any concerns are handled promptly and escalated when needed.

Treatment Delivery

• Perform treatments such as massage, facials, body therapies, scrubs, and holistic services in accordance with training and resort standards.
• Ensure treatment rooms are immaculate, fully stocked, and prepared ahead of each guest arrival.
• Uphold strict hygiene, sanitisation, and infection‑control practices at all times.

Operational Duties

• Support the daily running of the spa, including opening/closing procedures.
• Assist with laundry, stock rotation, and maintaining cleanliness throughout treatment areas and back‑of‑house spaces.
• Record treatments accurately in the system and complete all required documentation.
• Support the Spa Reception team when required, including hosting guests, touring facilities, or assisting with retail sales.

Sales & Revenue

• Achieve personal and team retail targets through confident product recommendation.
• Promote spa days, upgrades, seasonal offers, and additional treatments when appropriate.
• Contribute to the overall commercial success of the spa through high treatment utilisation and guest retention.

Health & Safety

• Follow all company policies relating to health, safety, and security.
• Report any hazards, maintenance issues, or incidents immediately.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, personal presentation, and code of conduct at all times.

Skills & Qualifications

Essential

• SVQ Level 3 Beauty Therapy (or equivalent recognised qualification).
• Strong massage and facial skills.
• Excellent guest‑service skills with a warm, confident manner.
• Strong work ethic with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively within a busy spa environment and as part of a team.

Desirable

• Previous experience in a luxury spa.
• Knowledge of Ishga or similar premium skincare brands.
• Retail sales experience.
