Job summary

Together Housing Group is seeking an Electrician to join the Repairs & Maintenance team across South Yorkshire including Barnsley, Sheffield and Rotherham. You will perform electrical repairs in tenanted and vacant properties with a customer-service driven approach, aiming for first-time-right outcomes.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Installations or equivalent, BS7671 knowledge, and a City & Guilds testing qualification, plus a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Knowledge of BS7671:2018 requirements for Electrical Installations.
• Inspection, Testing & Certification qualification - City & Guilds 2391/2394/2395 or equivalent.
• Full UK Manual driving licence.
• Experience working in a customer service environment and repairs.
• Experience maximising number of jobs completed in one visit.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all types of Electrical repairs to tenanted and vacant properties in line with tickets, slots, specs and regulations.
• Aim to complete repairs in one visit with right-first-time workmanship.
• Organise work to minimise lost time and pro-actively re-allocate tasks as needed.
• Participate in standby or call-out rota and respond to business needs.
• Diagnose faults, obtain approvals for more expensive jobs when required.
• Maintain high workmanship standards in line with service specs and team objectives.
