Job summary

Together Housing Group in the North of England is seeking an Electrician to support our Repairs & Maintenance team. You will perform electrical repairs across tenanted and vacant properties in South Yorkshire, aiming for first-time-right outcomes with quality workmanship.

The role requires an NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Installations (or equivalent), BS7671 knowledge, certifications, a UK driving licence, and a background in customer-focused service delivery.

Qualifications

• Electrical qualification - NVQ Level 3 Electrotechnical Installations or equivalent.
• Knowledge of BS7671:2018 requirements for Electrical Installations.
• Inspection, Testing & Certification qualification - City & Guilds 2391 / 2394 / 2395 or equivalent.
• Full UK Manual drivers licence.
• Experience of working competently in all disciplines normally expected of a qualified Electrician/Electrical Technician.
• Relevant post qualification experience.
• Experience of working in a customer service environment.
• Experience of maximising number of jobs completed and repairs completed in one visit.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all types of electrical repairs in tenanted and vacant properties in line with tickets and drawings.
• Aim to complete repairs in one visit with high workmanship and standards.
• Organise work to minimise downtime and reallocate tasks as needed.
• Take part in stand-by or call-out rota as required.
• Diagnose and undertake repairs, seeking approvals for costly or prolonged jobs.
• Maintain high workmanship in line with service standards and safety procedures.
