Job summary

adi Group is seeking a Mechanical Business Development Manager to drive growth in Southern England. You will identify new opportunities, build a strong pipeline and win profitable business across manufacturing, process engineering and industrial sectors.

You will collaborate with estimating, engineering and operations to craft technically appropriate, commercially competitive solutions and to convert prospects into long‑term partnerships. Regular travel across the territory is expected.

Qualifications

• Proven success in business development, technical sales or solution selling.
• Track record of winning new customers and profitable long‑term accounts.
• Proactive, commercially focused and results‑driven.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities across Southern England.
• Build a robust pipeline of opportunities in manufacturing and industrial sectors.
• Develop relationships with key decision-makers including engineering, operations and procurement.
• Win new customers and growth opportunities within strategic accounts.
• Develop customer understanding of operations and investment plans.
• Manage opportunities from engagement through quotation, negotiation and order placement.
