Qualifications

About the Role

As Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef, lead and engage the kitchen team to deliver 14 great shifts week in, week out.

You will be leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen operates effectively and safely. You'll be detail-oriented, managing stocks, Health & Safety, Hygiene, and overseeing the pass to ensure food is on-spec and on-time, maintaining 5-star kitchen standards.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or a Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager looking to advance
  • Experience working with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills (food prep, hygiene, knife skills)
  • A proactive work ethic, leading from the front and maintaining high standards
  • Driven and relentless in overcoming challenges
  • Knowledge of KPIs, labour, stock, and food safety decisions
  • Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders and build trust
  • Knowledge of rota scheduling, sales, labour forecasts, reporting, recruitment, and HR
  • Successful experience in training and recruiting kitchen staff, including apprentices and chefs
