Job summary

THE PIG-in the South Downs, Madehurst, BN18 0NL, is seeking a confident Sous Chef to support the Head Chef across one kitchen section. You will work in a fast-paced, energetic team, help develop menus that reflect our homegrown garden and local suppliers within 25 miles.

With 40 hours a week and paid overtime, you’ll contribute to health and safety, ordering and rotas, and have opportunities to step up to Senior Sous. We offer an award-winning apprenticeship and a range of staff perks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all areas of the kitchen is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef in running the kitchen and managing one of the 4 sections.
• Provide new ideas for the menu and contribute to menu development.
• Manage health and safety, ordering, and rotas.
