Mitchells & Butler PLC in Loughton is seeking a Sous Chef with live-in benefits to lead a kitchen section, train the team, and step up in the Head Chef's absence. The role highlights a commitment to guest experience, quality, and efficient kitchen management.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or in a similar role within a busy kitchen.
• Ability to lead a kitchen section and manage a team.
• Willingness to work shifts and live on site if required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and stock control.
• Lead and train the kitchen team to deliver consistent quality.
• Prepare and present dishes to brand standards and menu specifications.
• Ensure health and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
• Assist with menu planning and cost control as required.
• Support the broader kitchen team to maintain smooth service.
