Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC in the UK is seeking a passionate Sous Chef for Coombe Cellars. You will lead a section, train your team and support the Head Chef with stock, ordering and ensuring menus are delivered with pride.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen environment.
• Proven ability to train and lead a team.
• Knowledge of food safety and HACCP standards.
• Experience with branded menus and standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a kitchen section and ensure the team works as one.
• Train and inspire the team to deliver high-quality dishes.
• Support Head Chef with food ordering, stock control and menu execution.
• Ensure compliance with health and hygiene regulations and brand standards.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING? AS SOUS CHEF YOU’LL

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food to be proud of.
• Support your Head Chef with food ordering, food preparation and stock control.
• Have mastered the art of working with a branded menu.
• Have confidence in managing Chefs and the wider Kitchen Team.
• Oversee that your team conforms to health and hygiene regulations.
