Job summary

Hickory's Smokehouse in Wilmslow is seeking a Sous Chef to lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, coaching and mentoring the team to deliver authentic Southern-style BBQ. You’ll help drive quality, consistency and guest experience, while developing the brigade in a fast-paced, award-winning environment.

We offer a generous package of up to £41,000 per year including a tip jar, progression opportunities through our Training Academy, and a culture that values work–life balance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
• Ability to coach and mentor a team.
• Ability to work under pressure in a busy kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Cover the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence.
• Coach and mentor the brigade to develop skills.
• Lead the team to deliver authentic Southern-style BBQ dishes.
• Maintain high standards of quality, consistency and guest experience.
