Urban Pubs & Bars in London is seeking an outstanding Sous Chef to join our busy gastro-pub team. The role focuses on seasonality, sharing plates and delivering a high standard of service, with weekend brunch and Sunday roasts.

You will lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence, train the team, uphold standards, and help develop the menu to maximise sales. Join a growing pub group with awards, staff discounts across our venues, and a supportive, fun culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in gastro pubs or busy kitchen preferred.
• Ability to lead a kitchen team and train staff.
• Passion for quality, fresh seasonal ingredients and great service.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for kitchen operations in the Head Chef's absence to ensure service, safety and standards.
• Train and develop the kitchen team to excite customers and deliver outstanding food.
• Work with the Head Chef to uphold standards and implement the menu to maximise sales.
• Identify opportunities and products to enhance the customer experience and drive sales.
• Prepare and present dishes to a high standard of presentation, appropriate for the day and time.
