Job summary

JW Lees is seeking a Sous Chef to join the talented kitchen team. Lead the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence and support with menu development, stock management and maintaining a safe, compliant kitchen.

You will guide junior kitchen staff, ensure high standards and attention to detail, and work with the team to achieve 5* Scores on the doors. The role offers opportunities for growth and development through our programmes and apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence
• Assist with menu development, stock management and maintaining a safe and compliant kitchen
• Provide guidance to junior kitchen staff members
• Ensure high standards and attention to detail to achieve 5* Scores on the doors
• Continuously motivate the team to present fresh, quality food
• Play an integral role in training and development of junior team members
