Job summary

The Roundhouse in Wandsworth is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our friendly neighbourhood pub team opposite Wandsworth Common. You will work closely with the Head Chef, lead a close-knit kitchen, and help maintain high standards across every dish.

You’ll shape menus, mentor cooks, manage the kitchen rota, and ensure health and safety are top of mind. This hands-on role rewards leadership, teamwork, and a passion for fresh, flavoursome food that keeps guests coming back.

Qualifications

• We are looking for an existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP ready to lead with passion for fresh, flavoursome food.
• You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards and run service when required.
• Experience in mentoring a team, managing menu execution and health and safety is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team and run service independently when needed.
• Champion excellent service through quality food.
• Design and deliver new dishes and daily specials.
• Oversee rota planning, training and health and safety.
• Drive sales and growth by engaging with kitchen and front of house.
