Job summary

Buzzworks Holdings Ltd is seeking a Sous Chef in Scotland to lead a high-volume kitchen, support the Head Chef, and drive standards, performance and culture. You’ll manage service from the pass, ensure dishes meet specs, and contribute to strong commercial results.

You will mentor chefs, oversee stock, GP and labour performance, and help plan rosters while maintaining a safe, compliant kitchen and strong BOH/FOH communication.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Commercial awareness and margins management.

Responsibilities

• Support and lead the kitchen team to deliver exceptional standards during service
• Drive food quality, presentation and consistency
• Assist in managing GP, stock control and labour performance
• Support rota planning and daily kitchen organisation
• Mentor and develop chefs at every level
• Run service and daily briefings in the Head Chef’s absence
• Maintain a safe, compliant and well-structured kitchen
• Build strong communication between BOH and FOH teams
