Job summary

THE PIG-at Bridge Place in Canterbury is seeking a Sous Chef to assist the Head Chef and manage one of four sections. You will help develop menus, monitor health and safety, and handle ordering and rotas. This 45-hour-per-week role offers an OTE of £44,460 per annum and paid overtime.

You will lead, teach and inspire apprentices within our award-winning programme while enjoying the chance to work across THE PIG properties and develop your career in modern British, sustainable cooking.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of all areas of the kitchen is essential.
• Previous experience in a similar role is necessary.
• Active involvement in leading, teaching and inspiring apprentices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef in running the kitchen, managing one of four sections, and ordering and rotas.
• Provide ideas for the menu and ensure health and safety standards.
• Lead and inspire apprentices as part of the apprenticeship programme.
