The Wordsworth Inn in Grasmere is opening a new kitchen and is seeking a dynamic Sous Chef to lead the culinary team from day one. You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain high standards and drive exceptional guest dining experiences.

Responsibilities include menu development, costing, stock control, and overseeing day-to-day operations in a fast-paced environment. You’ll thrive on teamwork, collaboration, and delivering excellence in hospitality.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to develop menus and costings while maintaining quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the kitchen team to deliver high standards.
• Contribute to menu development and costing for dishes.
• Manage stock levels, ordering from suppliers, and kitchen cleanliness.
• Oversee daily kitchen operations and cover Head Chef when needed.
