The Village Swan is a traditional pub at the heart of Ivinghoe Aston, serving delicious, home-cooked food in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. We pride ourselves on using fresh, quality ingredients and creating dishes that our customers love.

About the Role:

As our Holiday Cover Sous Chef, you will be responsible for running the kitchen in the absence of our main chef. This will primarily involve weekend work and will require you to:

• Prepare and cook dishes to our established high standards.
• Ensure efficient and smooth service during busy periods.
• Maintain excellent standards of hygiene and food safety.
• Assist with stock management and ordering when required.
• Work effectively as part of a small, dedicated team.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience working as a Chef in a pub or restaurant environment.
• Solid experience working within a commercial kitchen.
• Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating quality food.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy kitchen.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene regulations and best practices.
• Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Availability primarily for weekend work during holiday periods.
