McMullen & Sons Ltd. in Potters Bar invites applications for a Sous Chef at our Chicken & Grill pubs, part of the McMullens family. You will join a long established, family-run business that values guests, quality and training.

You will deliver the food concept to standard, manage stock, support Head Chef, train kitchen team, and ensure food safety. The role offers a competitive salary, achievable bonus, shift flexibility and great live-in accommodation if required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a busy kitchen is essential.
• Willing to develop, take on responsibility and stay calm under pressure.

Responsabilités

• Delivering the food concept to Company standard and exceeding guest expectations
• All aspects of food stock control including ordering, deliveries, stock taking and control of wastage
• Supporting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen and deputising in their absence
• Training and developing the kitchen team so that they can reach their potential
• All aspects of Food Safety and Health & Safety compliance in accordance with the law and Company policy
