Job summary

Marston's PLC is seeking a Sous Chef to join our team across our award-winning pubs and venues in the United Kingdom. You’ll be right in the action in our kitchen, acting as second in command to the Head Chef and stepping up when they’re off shift to ensure great food reaches the pass.

You’ll assist in managing all aspects of the kitchen, run the line during service, lead and develop the kitchen team, and uphold the highest standards of food quality and service while benefiting from our career

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role or as a Commis Chef.
• Assist Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen.
• Accountable for running the line during service.
• Develop and support kitchen team skills while maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Be in the action in the kitchen as second in command to the Head Chef.
• Cover for Head Chef on shifts when needed.
• Run the line during service and maintain flow.
• Oversee and encourage the kitchen team to improve skills.

As Sous Chef you’ll:Be right in the action in our kitchen, second in command to our Head Chef – stepping up and covering for them when they’re not on shift.

• Offer previous branded experience in a similar role or as an experienced Commis Chef
• Assist our Head Chef in managing all aspects of the kitchen
• Accountable for running the line during service
• Oversee, organise, and encouragethe kitchen team - helping to develop their skills
