Job summary

Care Concern Group is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to support the kitchen team in delivering high quality meals for residents at Anchor Point Neurological Centre. You will work with the catering team to maintain consistency, presentation and dietary needs while upholding hygiene and COSHH standards.

The role offers 40 hours per week, days, paid DBS, pension and uniform, plus 28 days leave (pro rata), and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Catering, Hospitality or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, health and safety and COSHH regulations.
• Flexible and reliable approach.
• Strong commitment to providing a high standard of service.
• Friendly, polite and caring approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job description

As a Sous Chef, you will support the kitchen team in providing high quality meals and a positive dining experience for the people we support. Working alongside the wider catering team, you will help prepare and deliver meals to a high standard, maintaining consistency, quality and presentation while meeting individual dietary requirements and preferences. The role requires a strong focus on food hygiene, health and safety and COSHH standards, ensuring the kitchen and food preparation areas are maintained safely and effectively. You will contribute to a positive and well-organised kitchen environment, working collaboratively with colleagues while also being confident working independently when required.
