Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle in Reigate is seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our luxury care and nursing home kitchen. You will be second in command to the Head Chef, ensuring every meal is nutritious and of restaurant quality for our residents.

With 5 years in a kitchen and an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food & Hygiene, you’ll lead the Chef de Partie and Commis Chef, developing menus and maintaining high standards while promoting a positive, safe kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in a kitchen and NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food Hygiene or Catering Services.
• Supervisory experience, COSHH awareness, and a cool head in a hot kitchen.

Responsibilities

• You’ll be second in command to the Head Chef, ensuring every meal is nutritious and restaurant quality.
• You’ll manage and develop the Chef de Partie and Commis Chef.
• You’ll help regularly review and develop the menu.

Your Role at Signature

As Sous Chef you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our busy kitchen running smoothly. Second in command to the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for ensuring every meal that leaves the kitchen is nutritious and restaurant quality.

You’ll manage and develop the Chef de Partie and Commis Chef, sharing your experience and knowledge.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
