Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle seeks a Chef de Partie at our Signature at Farnham Common home. You will work under the Head Chef to produce nutritious, restaurant-quality meals for residents, overseeing one kitchen area with strict portion control and waste reduction.

You’ll address dietary needs, including dementia dining, and help review menus with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to keep menus fresh and engaging.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of catering experience.
• NVQ Level 2 or QCF in food hygiene or catering services.
• Working knowledge of health & safety and waste disposal & infection control.

Responsibilities

• Assist Head Chef and oversee one kitchen section.
• Prepare meals to high, restaurant-quality standards.
• Ensure proper portion control and minimise waste.
• Develop awareness of dietary requirements, including dementia dining.
• Contribute to regular menu reviews with creativity.

Job Introduction

Develop your passion for food within a highly equipped kitchen, in-house bistro and fine dining restaurant, as part of our caring and supportive team, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Chef de Partie at our luxury care and nursing home in Farnham Common.

Your Role at Signature

As Chef de Partie, you’ll work under the Head Chef to create and produce a nutritious menu of restaurant quality food for our residents. You’ll oversee one area of the kitchen to prepare meals to the highest standard, ensure proper portion control and minimise waste.

You’ll develop an awareness of special dietary requirements, including the dementia dining experience, to meet these needs.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef and Sous Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
