Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our luxury care and nursing home in Kingston upon Thames. You will work under the Head Chef to create nutritious, restaurant‑quality meals for residents and oversee a kitchen area, ensuring portions are correct and waste is minimized.

You will adapt menus for dietary requirements, including dementia dining, and collaborate with the Head Chef to regularly review and refresh offerings.

Qualifications

• A year’s catering experience is advantageous.
• NVQ Level 2 or QCF in food & hygiene or catering services is preferred.
• Working knowledge of health & safety and waste disposal & infection control.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to prepare restaurant quality meals for residents.
• Oversee one area of the kitchen, ensuring proper portion control and minimal waste.
• Develop awareness of dietary requirements, including dementia dining needs.
• Contribute to menu reviews and development with creativity and passion.

Job Introduction

Develop your passion for food within a highly equipped kitchen, in-house bistro and fine dining restaurant, as part of our caring and supportive team, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Chef de Partie at our luxury care and nursing home in Kingston upon Thames.

Your Role at Signature

As Chef de Partie, you’ll work under the Head Chef to create and produce a nutritious menu of restaurant quality food for our residents. You’ll oversee one area of the kitchen to prepare meals to the highest standard, ensure proper portion control and minimise waste.

You’ll develop an awareness of special dietary requirements, including the dementia dining experience, to meet these needs.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef and Sous Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
