Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited is seeking a Sous Chef for our luxury care and nursing home in Reigate. You’ll lead a busy kitchen, ensuring every meal is nutritious and restaurant quality, while supporting the Head Chef and mentoring the Kitchen team.

With 5 years’ kitchen experience and relevant qualifications, you’ll help drive menu development and maintain high standards. Day shifts, full-time role, and staff benefits are offered.

Qualifications

5 years’ experience in a kitchen environment.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Food & Hygiene or Catering Services completed.
Supervisory experience and COSHH awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

Second in command to Head Chef; ensure meals are nutritious and restaurant quality.
Manage and develop Chef de Partie and Commis Chef.
Assist Head Chef in regularly reviewing and developing the menu.

Your role at Signature

Use your experience and passion for amazing food, when you join Signature Senior Lifestyle as a Sous Chef. You'll take on an important role in a superbly-equipped kitchen at our luxury care and nursing home in Reigate.

What you will do

As Sous Chef you’ll play a crucial role in keeping our busy kitchen running smoothly. Second in command to the Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for ensuring every meal that leaves the kitchen is nutritious and restaurant quality.

You’ll manage and develop the Chef de Partie and Commis Chef, sharing your experience and knowledge.

You’ll also use your creativity and passion to help the Head Chef to regularly review and develop the menu.
