Job description

The job role is for a Sous Chef at Gildawood Court, a 60-bedded residential, dementia, and palliative care home in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. The home has a CQC rating of 'Good' and is rated 9.3 on Carehome.co.uk. The Sous Chef will be responsible for creating fresh, nutritious meals for the residents, working closely with the Head Chef and leading the kitchen team.

Main duties of the job

The Sous Chef will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef, leading by example, and showcasing high-level hospitality with their creative flair. The role consists of straight shifts with no evenings, and the successful candidate will receive a fully supported induction showcasing the technical skills required in healthcare, as well as the opportunity to mentor the kitchen team and progress within the Chef academy.
