Position: Sous Chef

As Sous Chef, you'll be the Head Chef's go-to for support, leading and engaging the kitchen team to deliver 14 great shifts week in, week out.

You'll be leading shifts, ensuring the kitchen runs effectively and safely. You are detail-oriented, managing stocks, Health & Safety, Hygiene, and manning the pass to ensure our food is on-spec, on-time, and upholding 5-star kitchen standards.

What you'll bring

  • Experience as a Sous Chef or Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager aiming for the next step
  • Experience working with fresh ingredients, demonstrating good chef skills (food prep, hygiene, knife skills)
  • A proactive work ethic, leading from the front and maintaining high standards
  • Relentless drive and a positive attitude towards challenges
  • Knowledge of KPIs and decision-making in the absence of the Head Chef, considering labour, stock, food safety, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage stakeholders and build trust with our Ops Chefs and Managers
  • Strong knowledge of rota scheduling, sales, labour forecasts, reporting, recruitment, HR
  • Proven success in training and recruiting kitchen staff, including Apprentices, KPs, Chefs, Junior Sous Chefs, and Sous Chefs
