Fenwick Limited in Newcastle upon Tyne is seeking a knowledgeable and energetic Sous Chef for a temporary 3-month role in our Brunswick Champagne bar. The role focuses on running a high‑volume kitchen with fresh ingredients and cuisine crafted from scratch.

You will lead a warm, collaborative team, cost menus, mentor junior staff and ensure outstanding customer service, with a rare work‑life balance and no late‑night shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant.
• Preparing food from scratch with fresh ingredients.
• Mentoring and developing junior kitchen staff.

Responsabilités

• Run the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence and maintain service quality.
• Write and cost menus and lead a warm, collaborative team.

Working Week: 40 hours

Are you a knowledgeable and energetic Sous Chef who is looking for a new and exciting experience? Or perhaps you’re an experienced and aspirational Chef de Partie looking to take the next step in your career? Then we have a temporary 3 month role available in our Brunswick Champagne bar that might be the next step in your culinary career!

Unlike many roles in hospitality, our roles do not include late night working giving a rare and much sought after, work life balance.
