JW Lees in Manchester is seeking a Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. You will lead when the Head Chef is away and help develop menus while maintaining a safe, compliant kitchen for smooth service.

You will guide junior staff, uphold 5★ standards, motivate the team to deliver fresh, high‑quality dishes, and participate in training and development programmes to grow your career with us.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen team in the Head Chef’s absence.
• Support menu development, stock management and kitchen safety/compliance.
• Guide junior kitchen staff members.
• Maintain high standards to achieve 5★ scores on the doors.
• Motivate the team to present fresh quality food every service.
• Train and develop junior team members.
