Job summary

Chessington Oak, part of Sizzling Pub & Grill, is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to lead a section, train great people and be the go‑to in the Head Chef's absence.

You will drive teamwork, manage food ordering and stock, and ensure the branded menu is executed to the highest standard.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume kitchen and leading teams.
• Ability to manage stock, ordering and wastage.
• Strong knowledge of health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor your section to deliver consistent quality.
• Assist Head Chef with food ordering, prep and stock control.
• Ensure adherence to brand standards and menu specifications.
• Oversee kitchen safety, cleanliness and HACCP compliance.
• Guide and develop junior chefs and kitchen staff.
• Support team to meet targets and maintain service flow.
