Job summary

Ridgeway Tavern is seeking a passionate Sous Chef to lead a kitchen section, train your team and step up in the Head Chef’s absence. You’ll work with Ember Inns, bringing traditional pub grub and real ales to the heart of the community.

Qualifications

• Experience as a sous chef or senior kitchen role in a branded pub concept.
• Proven ability to lead a kitchen team and train staff.
• Experience with food ordering, stock control and menu execution.
• Strong knowledge of health and hygiene regulations.

Responsibilities

• Be driven to smash targets with your team.
• Train and inspire your team to deliver food you’re proud of.
• Support Head Chef with food ordering, preparation and stock control.
• Master branded menu operations and consistency.
• Manage chefs and wider kitchen team.
• Ensure health and hygiene regulations are followed.

As a Sous Chef at the Ridgeway Tavern, you will have a passion for serving great food, training great people and leaving a smile on our guests faces. You'll run a section, ensuring your team are working together as one and you will be the person to step up in leading the team in the absence of the Head Chef. Does this sound like you?
