Job summary

Warner Hotels, at the Runnymede Hotel, is seeking a talented Sous Chef to lead kitchen operations and create exceptional dining experiences for guests.

You will oversee day-to-day activities, train junior chefs, maintain high food safety standards, and help manage costs while supporting the Head Chef to drive guest satisfaction. This full-time role offers a competitive salary and benefits in the United Kingdom.

• Experience working in a branded hotel/restaurant environment.
• Ability to manage orders, stock and forecast against occupancy.
• Strong multitasking skills and adaptability.
• Good financial understanding to manage costs within budget.

Salary: £33,000 - £35,000 per year + Benefits

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Sous Chef to join the culinary team at the Runnymede Hotel, helping to create exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

What will I be doing?

• As Sous Chef, you'll be overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring all stations are properly organised and prepared for service.
• Supervising and training junior chefs, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Ensuring food safety standards are always adhered to, including proper storage, handling, and cooking techniques.
• Monitoring inventory levels and managing food costs to meet financial targets.
• Supporting the Head Chef in maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and responding to guest feedback

What are we looking for?

• A Sous Chef who understands the importance of working in a branded environment.
• You will have the ability to create a culture of support and actively encourages teamwork.
• Willingness to challenge if standards aren’t meeting required levels.
• A chef with a passion for great food and service.

What skills do I need?

• Understands the important of working with a branded menu.
• Experience of managing orders, food stocks and forecast against occupancy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and can adapt quickly to changing requirements.
• Good financial knowledge with the ability to manage costs in line with the department’s budget.
